Hull City and Barnsley are two professional football clubs in England. Hull City are based in Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire and play their home matches at the KCOM Stadium. They were founded in 1904 and have spent most of their history playing in the lower divisions of English football, although they have had some success in recent years, including promotion to the Premier League in 2008 and 2013.
Barnsley, on the other hand, are based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and play their home matches at Oakwell Stadium. The club was founded in 1887 and has had a similarly mixed history, spending most of their time in the lower divisions but occasionally achieving success, including winning the FA Cup in 1911 and reaching the Premier League in 1997.
The two clubs have played each other on numerous occasions over the years, including several times in the Championship (the second tier of English football). In their most recent meeting in February 2021, Hull City won 2-0 at Oakwell Stadium, thanks to goals from Mallik Wilks and Jacob Greaves.
